Clinicians tailor their treatment approaches to the needs of the client. In all services provided, client’s have the opportunity to use an expressive intervention, if needed.
Play Therapy
Play therapy is a developmentally appropriate approach used to help children express and communicate their feelings through their commonly used language of play. Through a safe, accepting, and empathetic therapeutic relationship, children are able to express themselves freely.
Expressive Therapy
Through art, music, movement, and writing, expressive therapy utilizes creative approaches to help children and teens process thoughts and feelings that are hard to put into words. Expressive therapy can be used on its own or along with talk therapy.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is an approach that focuses on thoughts, behaviors, and feelings. Within this approach individuals explore their thinking patterns in order to explore alternative ways to respond to situations.
